WELCOME TO THE WEB SITE FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR PROPOSED ACCESS TO THE LAURELWOOD HOUSING AREA AT NAVAL WEAPONS STATION EARLE, COLTS NECK, NEW JERSEY.

The Navy has created this website to provide the public with information about the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) associated with the Navy’s proposal to provide unimpeded access between the Laurelwood housing area at mainside Naval Weapons Station Earle and an adjacent state primary or secondary road pursuant to a lease agreement between the Navy and the developer of the Laurelwood housing area. The unimpeded access road and housing units will be securely separated from the functioning station land area. The Final EIS (EIS Document), as well as material published in the Federal Register and presented at public meetings (Public Involvement Materials) are available for review on this web site. The Final EIS is posted on the EIS Documents page. section of this website.

The Record of Decision was signed by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Installations and Facilities) on May 22, 2009. The Record of Decision is posted here.
